Another step forward this week, for a group looking to change the local map: Amid a recent history of controversy and alleged corruption, a growing contingent of Johnson City residents have been attempting to dissolve that city’s government and merge with the neighboring town of Union.
The State of New York has very specific guidelines regarding the requirements of such a process and under these regulations. The first requirement of the movement would be a petition, signed by a percentage of Johnson city’s residents, equaling 2,622 for its population.

After a rocky, bug infested start in the 5 game series, the Yankees came roaring back in last night’s 8-4win over the Indians.
After falling to a quick 3 run deficit, the Yanks put up 1 in the 3rd, followed by a 4 run 5th, capped off by a Johnny Damon 3-run shot to put the Yankees ahead.
New York tacked on another 3 in the 6th to blow the game open, allowing only 1 Indians’ run after the 3rd.

Even 35 degree temperatures and heavy rainfall couldn't stop the Rockies unexpected tear through the postseason. A 1-1 tie was broken last night by a 3-run Yorvit Torrealba homerun, in the 6th inning. That shot accounted for the difference in the game as the Rockies went on to win by a score of 4-1.

The Cleveland Indians last night took game 4 of the ALCS, defeating the Red Sox by a score of 7 to 3.
The big series of blows to the Red Sox came in the 5th inning, where the Indians scored all 7 of their runs on 7 hits, 1 walk, and 1 hit bastmen, with 5 of those runs coming against Boston's Tim Wakefield.
The Red Sox led off the following inning with 3 consecutive solo homeruns by Kevin Youklis, David Ortiz, and Manny Ramirez. But that wasn't close to enough as those 3 shots accounted for Boston's only 3 runs of the game.
